Most people don't realize they picked the wrong mortgage until it's too late.

That's what keeps me in this business. When I bought my first home, I called a bank I'd never visited, asked for what I thought was the right loan, and got exactly what I asked for. Four hours into my first day in the mortgage industry, I realized everything I thought I wanted was wrong for my actual plan. Nobody asked me the right questions. I didn't know what I didn't know.

Over 20 years later, I'm still protecting my clients from that experience. 

I'm Greg Fischer, NMLS #26086, Vice President at Pinnacle Mortgage Corp, based in Leland, North Carolina. I help homebuyers and homeowners across Brunswick County, the Wilmington area, and coastal North and South Carolina own a home they love at a payment they can afford. Not just at a great rate — but with the right plan.

How I work

I've been breaking this process into plain English for over 20 years. Not because clients can't handle the details — but because they deserve to understand them before they sign anything.

First-time buyers who aren't sure where to start. Move-up buyers juggling a purchase and a sale at the same time. Homeowners trying to figure out whether a refinance actually makes sense right now. Self-employed borrowers who've heard "no" from a lender and assumed that was the answer. Veterans who've earned access to one of the best loan programs available and deserve someone who knows how to put it to work. Investors financing short-term rentals in the Myrtle Beach market and beyond.

Loan programs

Through Pinnacle Mortgage Corp, I work with a wide range of programs: conventional, FHA, VA, jumbo, purchase, refinance, second home, and investment property financing, including a spectrum of "un-conventional" solutions. We've built our mortgage practice around always having a Plan A, a Plan B, and at least a rough draft of Plan C ready to go.

Where I work

Leland, NC is home. I work with clients throughout Brunswick County, New Hanover County, Wilmington, and down into Horry County and the Myrtle Beach area. My license covers all of North and South Carolina, so wherever you are in either state, it's worth a conversation. A good chunk of my business still comes from New England. If you're in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or Vermont, or making the same move south that I did, Pinnacle Mortgage is licensed from Maine to Florida.
